Riders and horses alike appreciate the camp's fabulous facilities...
Riding Camp Quarters Foxfield's five dormitory-style cabins are all named for a different breed of pony—Shetland (for the youngest), Connemara, Welsh, Hackney and Polo Ponies (for the oldest). Each cabin accommodates six girls and one counselor—except for Polo Ponies, which can house up to ten campers. All cabins offer bunk beds, dressers and full bath.
Riding Camp Horses Foxfield's school horses include some of the area's top show champions and the majority of the horses featured on Foxfield's world-famous Equestrian Drill Team. There are school horses for every level of rider—from absolute beginners to competitive show riders and everyone in between.
Riding Camp Counselors Foxfield's camp counselors love working with kids and horses, and have plenty of experience with both. Some of Foxfield's counselors have ridden at the barn for many years. Some have spent many summers at the camp. And others are experienced horsewomen from around the nation who furnish Foxfield with a diversity of experience and knowledge. Riding Camp Amenities Foxfield's comfortable camp offers a swimming pool, a pool-view dining hall, a scaled down jumping course for "people jumpers," well-appointed tack rooms, three riding arenas (two of which are lighted) and two fields full of cross-country fences. |
