What you need to know if you want to sign up for Foxfield's summer riding camp...

Foxfield offers five sessions of camp each summer—four two-week sessions between the middle of June and the middle of August, and one one-week session in the middle of August. The camp has been very popular for over forty years, so enrollment is limited.

Application Form
For the latest pricing information, download Foxfield's brochure. You can also download an application form. Both documents are .pdf files, which means that you will need a reader like Adobe's free Acrobat Reader to access them.

You can fill the application out online, but Foxfield only accepts applications by mail with an included deposit check.

Foxfield's application period begins on December 1st. Foxfield begins processing camp applications on February 1st and usually fills all of its available slots sometime before summer begins. Once its spots are filled, Foxfield will continue to accept applications, placing them on a waiting list.

Foxfield Camp's Waiting List
Foxfield groups waiting listed applications by age group; if an eleven year old cancels, another eleven year old waiting for a spot in the same session will be offered the spot.

Cost
For summer, 2009, each two-week session costs $2,100.00. The mid-August eight-day session costs $1300.00.

Camper's Own Horse
Campers who have their own horses may bring them. Space is limited, and stalls are made available on a first-come, first-served basis. Board, which costs $250.00 per session, includes an individual box stall and two meals of alfalfa hay per day. Different, or additional, feed, if required, must be furnished by the camper, and must be brought in covered, locking containers that are marked with the camper's name. Every horse must have a health certificate stating that the horse is in good health, and that all its shots are current. Stalls must be vacated by 10:00 a.m. on the morning after the session ends.

Deposits
Foxfield requires a $100.00 per-session deposit to hold a place for a prospective camper. The deposit will be refunded in full if Foxfield cannot offer the camper a spot at camp. Foxfield does not refund deposits to campers who are offered a spot, however, unless Foxfield receives a written cancellation notice by May 15th.

Refunds
No refunds will be given after May 15th unless the prospective camper is not given a spot in camp.

Discounts
Foxfield does not offer discounts.

Payment
Foxfield requires payment in full by May 15 for all sessions. Foxfield will release a spot to another camper if the Foxfield office has not received an applicant's full payment by the due date, and the applicant's deposit will not be refunded.
